Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was buried at his Raidanga village in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia on Tuesday morning.
Hundreds of people attended the third namaz-e-janaza of Abrar held at Central Eidgah Maidan of the village at 10am. Later, Abrar was buried at his family graveyard around 10:45 am.
Abrar’s body reached Kushtia town around 5am. Relatives, neighbours broke down in tears seeing the body of the young boy.
The second namaz-e-janaza of Abrar was held in front of Al-Iqra Jame Mosque in Kushtia town at around 6am with the attendance of hundreds of people.
Police arrested nine leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League in connection with the killing of Abrar on Monday and his father filed a case against 19 BCL men with Chawkbazar Police Station.
Chawkbazar Police recovered the body of Abrar Fahad from the staircase of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET at around 3am on Monday.
Abrar, hailed from Kushtia, was a second-year student at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of BUET.
BCL has expelled 11 leaders, activists of its Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) unit over their alleged involvement with the killing of Abrar.
Several leaders of BUET unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League allegedly took Abrar from his room and beat him severely at Room No. 2011 of the hall at night.
