Police exchange opinions with mango traders in Sapahar


Nayan Babu, Sapahar : Sharing opinions’ meeting has been held with mango traders in Sapahar with a view to marketing of mangoes.
Naogaon Police Super Engineer Abdul Mannan Mia (BPM) was present as the chief guest at the meeting organized by Sapahar Police Station at Dak Banglo premises on Sunday afternoon.

At the meeting, the garden owners said that the marketing of the current season mangoes will start in a few days. But as the traders did not come, they are extremely worried about the marketing of their produced mangoes.The administration demanded that opportunities will be created for traders and farmers. Traders and farmers demanded to increase the bank transaction facilities, setting up of hats in certain big places and creation of online marketing facilities. At the meeting, the police administration assured the traders and farmers to fulfill their demands.

Kartik Saha,President of Sapahar Mango Business Association presided over the meeting. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Rakibul Akhter, Additional Superintendent of Police Patnitala Circle Tariqul Islam, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Binay Kumar of Sapahar Circle, Upazila Chairman Alhaj Shahjahan Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hai, Inspector of police (Investigation) Monirul Islam were present as special guests.

It is noteworthy that this season mango has been produced in about 25,000 hectares of land in Naogaon district. The production target has been set at about 3 lakh metric tons .
