“World Heart Day-2019” is celebrated by the Dept. Health Office In Ctg


Mr. Rajib Sharma, Ctg. Office: World Heart Day is celebrated on September 2019. Every year in Bangladesh as well as with the whole world. It is one of the largest in the World Heart Federation to raise awareness about heart disease. A rally and discussion meeting was organized on the occasion of the day on the occasion of the office of the Director (Health), Chattogram Division.

Ctg. Divisional Deputy Director (Health) and Divisional Level Manager, Community Based Health Care (CBHC) Dr. Md. Abdus Salam. Director (Health) Office, Ctg. Division, Ctg. Assistant Director (Administration) Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam And All the officers of the Directorate (Health) are on the ground.

Speaking at the meeting, the department’s health director said that the first World Heart Day was observed on September 2019.It was celebrated as World Heart Day on the last Sunday of September every year. Later, the day started from September 23 to September 25 as World Heart Day.

At present, heart disease has been identified as the number one fatal disorder in the world. About 20 million people die from the disease every year, which is expected to exceed 2 million by 2020.

This year’s theme of World Heart Day is – “BA Heart Hero”, that is, taking care of your own heart as well as your own and other’s heart.

To keep her heart healthy, she advises all present to follow some general rules of Quit smoking & Eating excess salt in the food should be avoided. In particular, for those who have high blood pressure, excess salt intake is essential to control high blood pressure. Eat foods that are beneficial to the body. Eat balanced meals at all times. Crop foods such as: Eating bread made from grains is very beneficial for health. So try to eat them on a daily basis. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits daily. Oil is an essential ingredient in our daily diet. Fat is one of the essential nutrients in our body. Moderate fat foods provide strength to our body. But fried or fatty foods in excess oil are harmful to the heart. At least 5 minutes of exercise should be done daily. After the age of 5, check regularly for diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, to see and control the treatment accordingly.

We all have to make a commitment to abide by these rules on World Heart Day 2019.
